Handcrafted Small Ash Bowl – A Touch of Irish Craftsmanship
This small-sized, food-safe bowl originates from Tralee, Co. Kerry, crafted from an Ash tree saved from being turned into firewood during a local development. Ash is my favorite wood to work with, and this particular tree holds sentimental value as it grew in Oakpark, where I once lived.
Preserved for a Second Life
To ensure a smooth, even surface, a small dead knot was removed and carefully filled with Milliput. This small detail preserves the bowl’s natural beauty while ensuring a smooth, functional surface, making it both a practical and decorative piece.
Finishing & Aftercare
Sanded to a smooth touch, this bowl is coated with a Danish Oil undercoat and finished with Osmo Oil for added durability. After Care details will be provided with your purchase.
⚠️ Note: Due to its durable finish, this bowl is suitable for both food use and display. However, washing may diminish the surface shine over time.
