A very versatile tool for spindle turning creating clean cuts on endgrain, v cuts, beads etc. Used correctly, a planing cut can achieve very smooth work and cut down on sanding time.  The skew is the hardest tool to learn but once mastered can give an exceptional finish cut.
 
Made from M2 Steel.
Handle - Beech.
Width - 3/4".
Length of Handle - 10".  Overall steel and handle length =17'' approx
 
Please note that this tool has a factory edge and needs to be sharpened correctly before being used.

Woodturner's Tip.
I would advise getting a file and rounding over the edges of the tool where it sits on the Toolrest and further back towards the brass ferule. This will prevent possible scratching or knicking to the surface of your toolrest. If you don't fancy doing this, you can always opt for the HCT105, HCT105R or GL9 skew chisels with rounded edges also sold on this website.
