I want to be upfront—this bowl has some natural imperfections, and I prefer buyers to make an informed decision. If you believe, like I do, that everything deserves a second life, then this bowl might be for you. Without these minor flaws, it could have been priced higher, but I value transparency and the beauty of nature’s quirks.
 
Unique Grain & Natural Marks
This ash tree lay elevated on a ditch for over a year before I salvaged it. While the lower trunk had decayed, the upper section developed remarkable hues and textures. Some soft grain remains in parts of the bowl, particularly in the endgrain areas, visible upon close inspection. Rather than flaws, these marks highlight the harmony between nature’s raw beauty and the craftsmanship that shaped it.
 
Elegant Design & Natural Beauty
Featuring an inward-curved and undercut rim, this bowl has a graceful shape that enhances its striking grain patterns. The quilted and frizzy grain flows throughout, making each angle unique. Ash is my favorite wood to work with, and this particular piece was a challenge—cut in place and carefully transported home to be transformed into something special.

Smooth, Food-Safe Finish
Finished with two coats of Danish Oil and two coats of Osmo Oil, this bowl has a silky-smooth, food-safe surface. While durable enough for serving food, washing may soften the shine over time. Aftercare instructions will be included to help maintain its beauty for years to come.
 
Recommended Uses
This bowl has a food-safe finish, but due to its natural surface imperfections, I can't guarantee how washing will affect it over time—it may be perfectly fine, but I prefer to be upfront. That said, it makes a stunning permanent display piece or a versatile utility bowl for storing fruit or household items while showcasing its unique character.
