A Piece of Beaufort Killarney’s Natural History
This bowl comes from a Beech tree that once stood just outside Beaufort, Killarney, Co. Kerry. The tree was blown down in 2017, and I personally began cutting it on-site later that year and again in early 2018. Beech retains a lot of moisture, so each log had to be carried by hand through a boggy field and over a ditch to reach my van—making this piece a true labour of love.
 
Smooth, Food-Safe Finish
Expertly sanded to a silky-smooth touch, this bowl is both beautiful and functional. It is undercoated with Danish Oil and finished with a high-quality food-safe oil, ensuring it is ready for everyday use. This bowl can also be used for long term display with only dry tissue cleaning needed.
