A Piece of Beaufort Killarney’s Natural Beauty
This bowl was crafted from a Beech tree that once stood just outside Beaufort, Killarney, Co. Kerry. Storm-felled in 2017, the tree’s logs were carefully carried by hand from the site before being rough-turned and dried to preserve their natural beauty. After hours of skilled craftsmanship, this bowl has emerged as a stunning representation of nature and artistry.
 
Unique Features & Natural Markings
A distinctive knot within the bowl has been repaired using Milliput, leaving a slight indent texture on the surface where the sanding reduced it a little. This feature enhances the swirling grain around the knot, making it a striking visual element. These natural markings are part of the wood’s history and add to its unique charm.
