I'm always on the lookout for my next great purchase, but sometimes scrolling through Amazon doesn’t quite spark the inspiration I need—despite its deep knowledge of my browsing history and product preferences. Over the years, I’ve come across some game-changing products that have genuinely improved both my personal and professional life, so I wanted to share them with you.
This isn’t just a random list—it’s a carefully curated collection of my top finds, along with clever and useful new product ideas that have caught my eye. I’ve even added a section for great gift ideas for the ladies (by request, of course—I didn’t have much of a choice! 😂).

We bought a set of these in January 2024. These are not the first solar lights we have ever bought but every set prior to these have been more expensive and don't last long term. These ones are still going strong in September and give off great light for their size. We ended up buying 2 more sets and I wouldn't be surprised if we bought another 2 or 3 sets in the future. They really make a difference once the light of the day is gone. For their price, they are great value! This exact type is not available on the Irish site so I have added an alternative.

Another Workshop accessory I never knew I needed. I had been storing my battery drills under the counter in an inconvenient place for years. I bought these magnetic holders and not only can I now store my drills in a good location but I can carry them to a new location where I'm working at any time and have instant access to my drills. They are capable of holding the weight of my Bosch 18V Battery Drills with battery without slipping. I recently bought more for my office to hold packing tape guns and pricing guns. Electric Fly Zapper Bug Zapper, Rechargeable USB Mosquito Killer Lamp
Living in the countryside means more bugs to annoy you. During the Summer we get loads of flies and especially Moths. The flies are annoying but the moths eat clothes, curtains, carpets etc. We decided to get a battery rechargeable version over mains for safety and chose this one. It seems to last 6 to 8 hours on a full charge so covers the dark hours. We tried loads of sticky solutions and sprays but none were effective. As long as this kills a few every night then the money is well spent. Also has a regular light function so is great for camping or eating outside. If you have a more serious insect problem I would recommend a mains powered version. I have added a different model for the Irish site due to availability.

Finish Dishwasher Fast Dissolving Gel All in 1 Max Lemon, 700 ml, Pack of 5
Bit of a strange one to mention here but this stuff is very hard to find at times in Ireland. The gel is far better for the dishwasher and household drains than the powder versions so is a must have for us.
We panic here all the time when running low so were delighted to find that they are available in packs of 5 from Amazon.

I bought the older model of this device and I really resisted buying it for a long time as I had been using Android boxes for streaming for years. For €35 odd you can't go wrong. I came to Amazon to buy it as I saw many adds on social media for more than double the price. This may have been a cheaper option but it performs what I need it to with ease.
Daewoo Hurricane Spot Washer For Carpet And Upholstery
I had the misfortune to spill my coffee cup on the sitting room carpet over the weekend which created a stain about 12 inches in diameter. I mopped up as much as I could with tissue before using carpet cleaning sprays to get rid of the stain. I wish I had one of these devices which would have removed the issue on the spot. Small in size for easy storage and no bulky equipment to drag around, this machine will be on my shopping list next!
